    Hey guys,

How would one go about creating terms & conditions and Privacy policy wordings for a new website? Obviously you can look at what similar sites are doing but how do you come up with your own? Do you need a solicitor to review and approve them or...? I will need to get this sorted fairly soon.

I would define in your own words what is important in terms of legals. Take a look at similar websites, 'borrow' relevant content and write your own T&Cs/PP. Finally, I would get a solicitor to review/approve

Thanks Mike..is this what you did yourself yes? It's pretty much what I would have thought about doing myself...

Something similar. I have a good friend who is a very sharp (digital/technical) solicitor so I worked with him to produce our T&Cs/PP etc.

The IIA have a few of these documents available to members which can be customised to fit your business requirements. Since they're written from an Irish perspective (legally) they're a lot easier to customise - so you'll save on legal fees
