    Hi,
I am currently looking into applying for a job in a montessori. I have a degree in Social Care and experience working with different client groups. I have seen that a lot of the advertisements require a minimum of a FETAC level 5, so would my degree stand to me, or should I do a FETAC course specifically in Childcare?

i am pretty sure a degree = FECTAC Level 5 but you should contact the OMYCA directly to find out.

All childcare staff who are employed in a facility which is availing of ECCE Funding must have min. level 5 FECTAC.

i also think this is going to be changing to Level 6

Montessori is not childcare or crèche work.
