Sterilization of land

What are the chances of getting planning on a site that has been sterilised for 10 years. It would be a family member looking to build on a site where he is taking over the farm. The site was sterilised as part of granted planning permission for another family member. Any advice would be great.

you need to get the sterilization lifted before you apply.
this does happen, especially in these situations.

Best thing to do is, collect all the proof you can (that the need is legitimate) and go have a chat/ early pre-planning with the local area planner.
