Hi I have a 97 starlet and want to put a few more speakers into the car. I was thinking of putting in a set of speakers on the pascel shelf in the back. Would this be any good and how would i go about setting them up.
Im not looking for loads of bass and loads of volume, I just want it sound a bit better than it is.

Also would it be worth ny time changing the two front speakers that is in it allready, or should i just leave them.

Rear speakers are generally just for fill - I'd start by upgrading your two front speakers first to a good set of components, they won't cost a fortune. They're definitely the first thing you should be looking at.

Get a decent head unit in Halfords in one of their audio sales, replace your front speakers if they are the original ones and get some rears too. As said though decent fronts will make a very big difference. Even 10cm Pioneers for €45 ish would be fine :)

To set up rears all you have to do is run speaker cable from the head unit to them. Bit of messing about depending on the head unit and the connector but nothing major or difficult.

The sterio i have at the min is a goodman one, i wasnt planning on changing it.
Would changing the sterio to a more expensive one increase the power to the speakers or just produce better sound.

The front speaks are the origonal ones it think, what would be a good new set to put in without braking the bank.

A decent stereo with sh1t speakers is better than good speakers with a sh1t stereo. Not saying your Goodmans is sh1t but it may well be.
