    Hi,

Has anyone ever heard of this crowd? There based in London and from what I see there a recruitment agency for companies. Had a phone interview and when I asked what companies they are recruiting for, my question was passed by. There website listed below is lacking in the detail department, have an interview with them in two weeks but does it look a waste of time?

    http://www.1pgr.com/

    Many thanks

It sounds like they are going to ask you to pay for a sales training course.

The fact that they are being vague about who they recruit for would make me worry.

I thought that myself but it says this on the website
A guaranteed place on our sales training program.......etc.etc.....This exclusive benefits package worth more than £3,000 is provided to 1st Place graduates completely free of charge.

Not sure what to make of, website is fairly bland. On closer search's I found this, fairly funny
The branch I went to was in Ravenscourt Park near Hammersmith in London, The 1st Place Training Suite - 4th Floor, 275-281 King Street, Hammersmith, London, W6 9LZ.

This company is a complete sham.

First and for most they do not have a reception. It is a random big room with an small adjoined office and some metal chairs, literally that is all they have. Not even a proper door logo, just a piece of paper stuck on the wall.

You get tested by presenting once, twice, three times and do some task Philip saw on the apprentice and tried to adapt and thinks that it shows your qualities. He is a rude chav in a suit and lacks manners. He only cares about matching candidates to his clients and getting paid. Also no advice was given at all to graduates.

After three hours of stupid tasks that do not show anything apart from if you can make a presentation, all they said to us was you do not match our clients. Thanks and goodbye. What a waste of time if graduates are not learning on what to improve!

So 1st Place Graduate Recruitment is definitely Last place Graduate Recruitment. To prove to you that I am not just annoyed because I did not get through, I was one of three who got a job offer for a sales job yesterday from a three stage group interview of 35 people. This job has excellent uncapped commission, training and career progression and I only went today to see what else was on offer.

To be honest even if I was offered a job interview for one of his clients I probably would not have taken it because of him. At one point I was going to walk out but I thought I will stick it out for the experience.

I have been to other graduate recruitment companies so I can compare and I conclude the following

1st Place Graduate Recruitment = SHAM!!!! STAY AWAY.

And Philip you are not Sir Alan Sugar and YOU'RE FIRED!

You really need to be careful about giving CVs and details out. Review first in future.

Yea I know, the review was entertaining but doesn't read well for said company. CV was obtained through monster i.e as public profile
