Hi we have 2 pups in head collars after both being neutured(vets suggestion to do them together) but we are having issues with them both trying to sleep in the same space and getting snarly with each other, they are also pulling each others collars off.

Any suggestions on how we can keep them safe would be welcome.

They're getting big, maybe time to let them sleep in different places.
You were going to have to do it some day.

Can you tire them out, sure you can play football with them for 30 minutes or so.
They can still do this with the head cone

Thanks for the suggestions but unfortunately we can't let them run yet because of the stitches(bitch already split hers once) but we've been walking them for 45mins at a time around the town. They sleep in the utility overnight and have 2 beds in the living room during the day but they are still trying to sleep on the same one. Crate training not an option because of conditions they were living in have left them traumatised by small enclosed spaces.

I think you might have to split them up into different rooms at night, although this might not go down too well if you haven't previously got them used to being apart. Do they have coats they could wear to protect the stitches instead of the lampshades? Might not work too well for the dog though.

Thanks I'll go and get her a coat this afternoon and try that. Yes i suppose splitting them up is the only option, they're ok being apart during the day as we've made a point of sometimes taking them out seperatly to make sure they're not totally reliant on each other but we've never tried it overnight. ear plugs it will be then

The sort that has the splash guard that covers their belly is the one to get if you are buying it specifically for the purpose. ;)
