I love me some beans, but not with a fry... far too messy. If they have to appear, there needs to be some bean apartheid in place like a separate dish.

Pudding, rashers and sausages are salty, the tomato sauce on baked beans is sweet. Perfectly complimentary. Nyom!

Beans are what Hitler used to stir up anti-semitism amongst the German youths in the 1930's. You horrible racist.

Nah nah, not really, they just taste manky in a fry. Don't be at that stuff, seriously, stop it. No beans.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,367 ✭✭✭Quandary

When available you gotta have beans with your fry - what are we, uncivilized brutes??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 861 ✭✭✭deaddonkey

If there's enough room left on your plate for beans, you're doing it wrong.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,288 ✭✭✭TheUsual

Beans yes, but not a whole can of them.

If you fart, just blame the dog.

i had a very tasty grill in the kingfisher yesterday but the bastards put beans on it. the liver and pork chop were handy for mopping it up though.

on topic i dont think beans should be on a fry but i wouldnt kick up a fuss if they were

Beans are necessary for proper soakage after being on the batter as far as I'm concerned.

Not necessary for a quick, sober, "before work", "just hungry" Irish breakfast.

    Definitely.

only if the beans have been cooked until they are a bit stodgy, so when they go on the plate the sauce doesn't slop everywhere and create a mess.

(lash a bit of curry powder into those beans and you're in business altogether)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,224 ✭✭✭barone

id have toast as a staple part of my fry aswell, and a couple of slices of very fresh bread with butter to soak up the last bits of fry left on the plate..and the bean juice and egg yolk..n ketchup:)

Now were talking! Bean variations, beans with curry power, cheese, chorizo, paprika, onions/garlic, bacon, mustard etc. seperately or all together, love mixing it up with beans!

    NO, NO, NO, NO!

If you put beans with your fry, now is the time to take a cold hard look at your life and realise that you have failed as a person. First step of redemption is to never include beans with a fry-up.

    NEVER!
