What's this all about? I've noticed that most times I go to the homepage here, there's almost always a thread on 'Airsoft'...which I know aren't REAL guns...
But they talk about their guns pretty seriously over there..and they get quite argumentative and take it quite seriously.
Much more going on on those threads than there are in Parenting for example (and I'm sure a huge percentage of boardsies are parents)...

    So what's the story...?

i've always found that people who play airsoft are very enthusiastic about guns but too afraid to join the army

Maybe there aren't any other good Irish hunting / gun forums so they all congregate here

plus the prison forum at one stage seemed to hold many of their number.

    Best left alone I think.

I think of it as the new poker forum

There was a time on boards when the poker forum was insanely busy

    Now, not so much

I've just asked a mod to delete this actually...probably not the most appropriate question to ask with the upcoming visits;)

my biggest fear would be an airsofter crossed with a boards cyclist..particularly a fundamentalist cyclist...

I fail to see a problem with people taking their sport seriously. I'd imagine it would be no more serious that people talk football in the football forums, or video games in the video game forums.
I've been airsofting once or twice with my mates. They are big into it. It's good craic, and encorages keeping healthy and competitiveness. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I can completely understand why people are all about it.
