My left ear has been blocked for the last few days so I went to the chemist and the girl there gave me some ear drops that will break down the blockage. It says on the leaflet to take put the drops in my ear when I'm going to bed.

Just wondering if I have to lie on my side all nite so the liquid doesn't spill out of my ear or is it not supposed to stay in my ear all nite? The leaflet isn't very clear!

    Thanks!

lie on your side for around 20 minutes. after that very little will spill out as most of it will have soaked in.

If your ear is plugged badly enough to block your hearing for days, just go to a GP or nurse and get your ears cleaned.

I had this problem recently and doc told me use the drops for 3 or 4 days before syringing as it makes it easier. Took 5 mins in the doc's surgery to sort after using drops for weekend.
