Hard-hitting ISPCC/Childline ad

As part of their summer awareness- and fund-raising campaign, the ISPCC has produced a pretty graphic video. It's only going to be online, not on a tv campaign, although there is an accompanying radio ad (featuring Saoirse Ronan) and a campaign in a national newspaper. There have been some calls already to remove the video as it could cause trauma to kids. Personally I found it very upsetting, but it has moved me to donate, which I guess is the point.

Do you think it goes to far, or is it a fair campaign in the light of what real kids are going through every day in Ireland?

'Hard-hitting' is surely an unfortunate turn of phrase in a child cruelty thread.

It's real-life, you can't sugar coat these things.

But that's what the ad is, literally. Watch it, then comment.

Didn't see it if we did. Presume mods will close if so. Thought it was worth posting though, definitely a campaign worth exposure.

Damn good ad all the same. I'd hate to be the Actor playing the adult though. :(
