GHDs causing static.

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem, I got a pair of GHD straighteners for Christmas (I had previously used a cheaper set) and I find that my hair gets incredibely full of static and flyaway after using them, especially the day after using them. I sometimes use the ghd holding spray in my hair before drying, and that doesn't seem to make much of a difference. I have used several shampoos, so it's not that.

It's really irritating as I hate the feeling of static, not to mention it looks awful! Does anyone have any solutions that won't weigh down my hair or make it lank, as I have quite greasy hair?

Lightly rub a tumble dryer sheet like Bounce etc. over your hair when you're finished straightening I find that really helps with static.
