    when u open the throttle up full she splutters like she is on 3 cylinders and grey/white smoke puffs out its not the diesel filters as they were changed any ideas

    Sounds like the your loosing compression on one of the cylinders. Piston rings probably gone. Might have excessive wear on the cylinder too.
    I have the same problem on a David Brown 995.

    not to be picky but all 135's were 3 cylinder engines. did you typo the model?
    Anywho take the head off and have a look. could just be the head gasket is fecked or any range of other things.
