O2 data usage?

    Guys,

I only got a smartphone last month, and had a look at my first bill ...

it seems there is data going across everyday, aprox 3-5MB daily. I ALWAYS use my Wifi when at ours or at my wifes home place. I do use 3G during the day sometimes, but not to that extend, I have all my updates/email/... set to manual.

    Any Ideas?

I'd be worried that 30days * 5MB = 150MB, my contract only has 250MB data free, all it would take is a couple of bad days on the 3G and wham, all free data gone.

    Thanks

Hey as the Captain said could be an app running in the background. I have android and use apndroid app to turn off 3g data when I am not using it.

turn off data until you want to actually look something up, takes 2 seconds to turn it on, simples.

    This.

WiFi only works when the phone is awake. Once it's in standby and not being used, it turns off the WiFi radio and uses the mobile network instead, if enabled. Disable mobile data so if the WiFi turns off, it won't use your mobile internet allowance.
