I've got my NCT on Tuesday and i just cracked the oil stump on my car, would it pass an NCT with the stump welded? or would that be an automatic fail?

How would it fail? Weld it, grind it, paint it. As long as its not leaking I cant see it failing?

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

When I serviced the 520 a week or so ago, only a bit of the bolt came out into my hand. And I don't know where the rest of the (obviously broken) bolt went

I got the replacement bolt from a BMW dealer (Frank Keane's - great place and great people to deal with, esp. considering the part I bought cost an almighty €3 + VAT) but meanwhile I was thinking worst case scenario would be welding the oil pan.

@Anan1. BMW don't call it sump or even stump, LOL. They call it pan :p
