Its true, eczema will drive me to chop off my arm! As i've posted over on the food section, i'm quiting dairy for a while. Though looking for any creams or remedies that people have come across for eczema. i have it very bad on the creases of my elbow/arm and on my hands. Ive tried anti biotic and steroid creams - don't work, ive tried e45 and loads of the OTC creams - don't work, ive even been doing acupuncture and its reduced some of it on my arm and my legs but not my hands. Any suggestions out there?

    thanks :-)

Specifics don't come to mind at the moment, but I hear seaweed is great for it. I think you can get in some sort of specially formulated thing, or you can just buy it as it is and blitz it up, wouldn't be too sure about that though.

If you haven't tried it, give aloe vera a go. I get dry flaky skin on my hands sometimes and it always does the trick. It's also a miracle cure for sunburn. You can just cut a leaf off a plant and strip the skin off, mash the insides up and rub in on, then rinse it off(the skin is bad for you so make sure you strip it all off). I get a little bit of neutrogena concentrated hand cream, a little bit of aloe vera and mix it up together, then smear it on my hands and sit back for two mins, then I rinse it with water and pat my hands with a towel. Also, washing/drying is going to dry out your skin, so maybe don't pay much attention to your dry skin while you're in the shower. I'm sure your elbows don't get very dirty anyway. Also might be an idea to use johnsons baby oil after a shower. You rub it on before you've dried yourself, and then just pat yourself down.

I've suffered with seborrheic eczema since I was a kid. It effects different parts of the body to you but the treatments are roughly the same.
I personally cant recommend Eucerin products enough!

The 10% urea (ewww) lotion would be ideal for your arms!

As mentioned seaweed is great stuff for Eczema. Try Aalgo
    http://www.aalgo.com/

These & then a **** load of moisturising with E45 or diprobase or just a high quality moisturiser can help.

Omega/fish oils are also said to help...I take Omega 3,6 & 9's but not 100% sure they've helped my skin!
