    New to the form so apologies for anything stupid i do in advance :o

    Im getting a 'Giant box two free ride series fox trotter mountain bike ' , with shimano A series gears .

    Can someone pleese tell me if thats good or bad, i know very little about mtb :o Im getting the bike for nothing off a friend so it doesnt really matter still good to know ! Hoping to get into mtb !

    Any help appreciated thanks :)

    wow, I've been on the lookout for one of these bikes for a decade! my first mtb was a giant box two (just front sus) and I loved it-really light and distinctive looking..have fun and let me know if you;re getting rid of it!

    I'd never heard of it so I was curious :)

    I'd assume it's decent enough, given that it's Giant, but being twelve years old it must be fairly dated at this stage. If there's a hardtail version (as colm18 says) then that might actually have aged a bit better.
