Hi folks, we have an 8 month old baby in the house, and as its heating up weather wise, we have or gas turned off during the day when were out working.
problem is, 2 nights a week, both me and my wife work until 7 or so,and as that'd baby bath time, the water is always cold!
if we were to wait on water heater to heat the tank, it would be way past babies bed time!

We have time controlled gas also, bit if i set gas to come.on for say an hour between six and seven the rads would.come on also leaving the house very stuffy and uncomfortable!

I've heard of a summer heat valve or something i can activate to direct water to the tank only, anyone point me as to where it is/what it would.look like.

our house is relatively new btw, (six.years old)

    thanks

If your house is that new you prob have wall stats which you could turn down which would stop the rads from heating , also if you could take a couple of pics of your hotpress I could tell you if you have a summer valve fitted

I only discovered the other day that I can turn a valve in my hot press so that the gas boiler only heats the water and not the rads. I'm no expert but I would imagine you probably have something like this as well? Very handy during the summer
