iPad - auto kill browser session?

Got my dad an iPad 2 there after it came out and he's loving it. He's finding it easier to use than a PC. His only gripe is with the browser.

He was logged into his internet banking the other day and was distracted or something and forgot to log out. He returned to the home screen and thought nothing more of it. The next time he started safari his account details were on the screen, and this concerned him as he shows his iPad around to people and anyone could have seen this and it's not something he would want other people seeing.

Besides remembering to log out, is there any way to auto kill a session or stop safari running in the background? I tried to explain the home button double tap, and hold to squiggle the icons and closing safari from there. But he's not tech savy and found that a bit cumbersome and if he forgot to log out his banking then he most likely wouldn't remember to do this every time after using the browser.

Not helpful but just for info.. An AIB internet banking session will log out itself after 7 minutes of inactivity (actual clicking of links).

Was thinking of that, but wasn't sure how to describe it to him over the phone. Prob won't see him for a few months but I'll try explaining that to him. Thought there might have been an easier solution.

I'm aware of this but Apple have a funny implementation/hack for Safari. From what I've read, when you send an app into the background it takes a screenshot of the app and then when you open it next time, what you are seeing is the screenshot as it loads. This gives the impression that the app is super quick but it also means that it shows exactly what was on the screen when you last minimised which is not so good for the instance above!

Closing the tab/window is the easiest solution. Press the tab icon in Safari; then press the little x. All done.

Get Atomic Web Browser. It is much better then the Safari browser that comes with the iPad.

You can configure that one to blank when you close, or remember pages, force a reload (which would log out), etc.

Probably the best browser available for iPad IMO. Endless config options and a great UI.
