have my iphone 4 for 9 months now and the past few days, the wifi keeps disconnecting on it for no reason. The icon disappears after a couple of minutes and even though its enabled when i swipe SB settings. I end up having to go into Settings and clicking connect every time....which is so annoying.

can anyone help me fix this? wifi is perfect on mates phone and also on the pc's using the same wifi in the house so its something on the iphone thats causing the problem.

That's a common problem, was fixed in 4.21. and back in 4.2.2 i think.
    some possible fix.
    • Channel change on router may fix it.
    • renew DHCP lease from Iphone itself
    • Reset network setting.
I also have same problem and i just turn off the modem and on again and it start working again.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm jailbroken on 4.1 (so don't want to go down that route of losing jailbreak)

how do i reset network setting on the iphone? Is this just the "forget this network" option? If so, then I've tried that already. And how do I renew DHCP licence?

Don't update because new ios is 4.3.3 and it is not fixed in that.
Reset Network setting is in Setting-> General->Reset-> reset network setting.

You could also try instead of forget network , "Renew lease".
