    "Shit..." *bang* "Fuck... ah jaysus CHRIST" is, in all honesty, what most of us would either be saying or thinking in the few seconds before and after a crash.

    Glad nobody was injured.

    There were injuries just nothing physicly permanent or fatal

    Have many Irish taxis got these cameras now? is there also a camera on the driver and passengers to monitor illegal behaviour like smoking or mobile phone use or reading maps or the herald while driving?

    One of my relations was very recently in a taxi where the taxi driver fell asleep and the car went off the road and crashed upside down through a ditch.

    Actually quite impressed with that dash camera, good resolution. Though if he's planning on using it for evidence, he'd want to update the datestamp :D

    Any idea what kind of camera it is?

    @ Foggy The driver apparently had two of them, but there is no legal requirement to have them either for enforcing driver or passenger behaviour, very disingenuous of you to automatically take the view that taxi drivers need monitoring for reading the Herald when everyone knows we read the Star
