Just started Ninja gaiden sigma 3 and it's great!

Depending how long it goes on i might try and finish Just cause 2, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and maybe GTA4

Oh and how could i forget Demons souls has been seriously neglected of late.

also ordered darksiders and nba 2k11 but they have yet to arrive

    From the other thread
Finished Vanquish and just started playing through God of War 3 today. I played about an hour and a half over a year ago and never went back to it. I think I was just worn out with GoW games as I went through the first two games right before I picked GoW3 up. The upside to all this is that I'm pretty much forcing myself to go back to all the games I started, never finished and ignored after I bought them. It's about time too. Pffft! Who need online when you have about 10 games left to finish. I tend to do this a lot with games. Start them, love them and then drop them like a hot snot for something new before I finish them. Must finish KZ3 while I'm at all this stuff. Oh and Darksiders, among others.

I have Bioshock 2, still in the wrapper but as per usual, I stopped playing the first one when
you start to look for the big daddy suit parts
. Have to finish that on the PC before I start the second one on the PS3. Also been playing loads of games on the PC too but that's for another thread I thinks.

CHRIST. I think I might have just diagnosed myself with ADD.

    FInished Vanquish
    nearly fiinshed Castlevania: LOS
    Brink
    Mafia 2

and if the PSN is not back by next week which i think is likely, i'll prob play through Bayonetta or Dark Souls, maybe even possibly start the dark tower series by stephen king on Book format(slightly off topic i know but looking forward to reading the series)

Playing Red Dead. Find it a chore. It's great to have an open world to explore and some good voice acting and a decent script but I just wish the gameplay was a bit more engaging. The shooting is OK but the mission set-ups are brutal, the horse riding is awkward and the mini games are dull.

The gameplay seems like an afterthought, like they just made it fit in with the "jack of all trades" engine.

I went back and finished Crysis 2 on supersoldier, then played through Assassins Creed 2 and started the hunt for trophies and I started Fable II on the 360. I've just started Brink; I'm looking forward to giving it a proper go when the PSN is back up.

playing killzone 3 atm, but i also have Kane & Lynch 2 to start.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 954 ✭✭✭PaddyBomb

I platinum'd Uncharted 1 yesterday, trying to play through the SOCOM story on hard and finding the AI of your squad so bad, it's just not worth it. If we've no online after the weekend, I think I'll be going for platinum on Killzone 3 or buying Mass Effect 2.

Good luck with all your single player games, lads.

The single player of battlefield is fairly Meh but when online resumes the multiplayer is savage. It's the reason i stopped playing COD. I've had some great games with a few folk from here.

Kayne and Lynch 2 is only 10 euros in CEX. I've played the demo and liked the feel and look of it, but i've only heard bad things about it. Is it really that bad, what is so bad about it?

PES 2011 - get my footie on

im a sucker for cheap games so i tend to have a few hanging around that i never get to, but since psn is down i have finished enslaved, uncharted 2 (just need my two online trophies for plat yay!) started the sabatoeur but the accent on yer man is driving me mad, so next on the list is dead space 1. i might even go back to batman arkham asylum, what a great game that was

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 292 ✭✭raze

    NBA 2k11
    Darksiders
    SOCOM 4
    Portal 2
    Bayonetta
Prince of Persia (Trilogy, Classic and PS3)
    Some MW2 Spec Ops
    KZ3
    Red Dead Redemption
    Mass Effect 2
    Rock Band
    GRAW 2 (Ghost Recon)
    Quake 3

Eventually broke yesterday and went with an XBL subscription for a month. For the most part what I've been playing is all right, but I'd trade all the time for being able to spend an evening playing online. So help me if I see another quick time event I won't be responsible for my actions. *stares at Bayonetta*

I can't bring myself to start God of War 3.

Best part of 60 other games lying around for PS3 alone, it's just not forcing itself to the top of the pile. Also, don't fancy more quick time events.

I'll get around to it when it'll be fun and not seem like a grind.

Its not great to be honest. It has this "shaky cam" approach, but they never explain why it is like that. It could have been a nice idea, but without any premise to who is holding the camera and why it's just a bad graphically as a result. I played it as couch co-op and I really don't think I could play the single player on my own and probably wouldn't even bother co-op online either. The guns do feel different, though the shot-gun is so over powered that there is littel point in using anything at else. The AI is reminded me of Uncharted 2 where they find cover and every now and then stick their head to shoot....its predictable. Story itself isn't all too interesting and the characters are forgettable.

That said the online had a few very interesting and unique ideas. There is a some cops and robbers stuff. You all start out as a robber and the person with the most loot wins. At any point you can turn on your fellow robbers and thus get more cash, though it increase your wanted level and that person is revived as a cop. It was fun and perhaps the best part of the game.

Just finished up with Smackdown vs Raw 2010. Im playing Bioshock right now. Not sure if I like the dual-wielding aspect of the game

I'm back to playing Fallout 3. Past the 50 hour mark now since I picked it up in 2009. I like the fact that I can take really long breaks from this game and come back to it. Whenever I come back to it I get super into it and then lose interest. Then the cycle repeats.

A small tonne! Working my way through Zelda: Majora's Mask, jumping out of the occasional plane in Just Cause 2, getting my shooter fix with the transcendent Bangai-O HD, started up on Back to the Future the Game last night (free first episode, imagine I'm near the end) and a few others. Have my Megadrive out for retro fun with MUSHA and Earthworm Jim.

On PSP, rediscovering the joys of late night Silent Hill with headphones on and the lights off. Shattered Memories isn't the best game I've played, but it's original, and the removal of combat from the mix is glorious.

Also played Portal 2 co-op on Steam last night, but only got as far as I'd gotten with a friend on split-screen on PS3 :pac:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,856 ✭✭✭Clover

I have been playing portal 2 , tomb raider trilogy on the ps3 , ghost of sparta on the psp and some raskulls on the 360 .

Not really in a game playing mood the last week or so though  .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,920 ✭✭✭AnCapaillMor

Yeah flew through the tomb raider trilogy as well, started and pretty 100% assassins creed brotherhood, don't know why it took me this long to start on it, oh yeah demons souls. Will probably start vanquish tonight.

Everyone who hasn't played Vanquish - sort that out post haste! It's short and very sweet indeed. The best shooter of recent times predictably sent to the side lines in favour of the annual Call of Duty. For shame!

You'll be looking at 5-7 hours or so. But it is quite the adrenaline rush of a game. Story is useless, but that doesn't matter in the slightest. Really enjoyable. It's really cheap I think in HMV at the moment. Maybe someone can confirm. I saw it in there on the PS3 for €11.99 in Dundrum a week ago. I bought it at twice that price a couple of months ago and dont regret it in the slightest.

Think I'll pick that up so. Cheap enough even at €20 odd quid!!

Picked it up for €11.99 in HMV , and it was still that price when I was last in during the week.

Yeah it was €12 in HMV cork yesterday. Mad price, you wouldn't get a second hand copy of a game twice as old for that in gamestop. Must have sold really poorly though, I got it for €25 about 2 months after release.
