No full doors? Would never work over here. Also what's to stop anyone robbing it?

The idea is good, the implementation is...well... typical of renault you could almost say. Just not good enough.

    concept : 7/10
    looks : 0/10
    practicality for a french city : 7/10
practicality for dublin city : 2/10

if you were to buy one it would want to be as a 2nd car for quick trips to town and home again, youd want a garage to store it in and underground carparks to park in while in town.

not my cup of tea and Id never need/want/buy one but i suppose for eco hippys with too much money or city apartment dwellers who hate cycling its an option

Yup me too. And I reckon it would be a great way for learner drivers to start off, depending on Irish insurers even wanting to insure a "large quadricycle" for road use...

We are talking about 7k pounds? I presume here with taxes and exchange rate slapped On it will be near 10k?

It sort of cool, but I already see problem:

Weather? Rain or snow? You will freeze your gentalmen sausage.

Safety? I would be scared to leave it in tescos with no doors. I bet you will find poop now and then, just becouse teenagers have feck all to do.

Storage? I can't see any luggage places.

Only one person can drive it.

10k can buy you a damn good second hand car...

it looks like a bit like a motorised wheelchair to me.....:)

Range 100km and top speed 75kph reportedly. Compact, practical (for urban use), relatively cheap to buy and probably cheaper to run than a standard ICE-powered car. And it's a reality, on sale starting later this year.

It'll take up a lot less room, which is a good thing. Not sure whether it will have an impact on excessive car use though. Maybe it will encourage even more motorised short trips, eg people will drive when they should be walking, as with golf carts.

I'll stick to Shank's Mare and the bike.

You would need full motorcycle gear and helmet to be safe and for weather proofing (imagine driving around in that in winter) - I dont' think it's going to work, but what do I know..!

It reminds me of the sales flop that is, or rather was the BMW C1.

That said, the C1 was well ahead of its time, so such a vehicle would probably sell quite well now.

It looks cool enough but only as something to mess around with at the weekends.....slap a turbo or 2 on it and see what happens!
    As an everyday car................no thanks.

I don't commute, but if I did it looks like it'd be perfect. I wonder could you filter up along lines of stationary cars, like a motorbike?:)
