Seems a lot of money for a 5.1 Surround sound system:eek:

In the first pic, I'd change the orientation of the centre speaker to match the Left and Right. i.e. one of the better ways to create a uniform sound field is to orientate all the front speakers at the same level. Similarly, the best centre speaker is actually a third of whatever you have as your front L/R. The second best, is none, after that the best you can do is 'match' a centre to your front L/R.

That's nothing, you should have a look at what amplification costs. My point was that despite the price, it appears that they still set up the speakers in a manner that audio wise, they could do better :)

The only way to judge the quality of the speakers is to hear them in the flesh, not by looking at the price tag. I work in the trade, and some of the kit I've heard would leave you requiring smelling salts because of the price tag (one speaker alone costs more than $20,000.) I've walked away from some demonstrations very unimpressed by the sound quality, so price alone is not a guarantee of quality. Always trust your ears!!

As always when it comes to speakers and home entertainment in general , there seems to be no upper limit to what some people will pay.

This is from 2008 .... but shows the lengths some people will go too.

20K is not nearly the maximum you can pay for a home entertainment system ... there are pairs of speakers selling for many many times that.
