Paracetemol before filling?

I haven't been to a dentist in a stupid amount of years. I recently lost a small bit of one of my pre-molars due to a cavity and have an appointment this evening for a filling. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that I may need more than one. (fingers crossed I don't). Anyway, is there any problem with me taking two paracetemol about one hour before my appointment, just to help with any pain for the duration of and short time after the procedure? If I take paracetemol should I let the dentist know, for any reason?

You mouth will be anaesthetised. There should not be any pain after a filling?

I took some before one of my extractions because I'm a chicken and hate pain, not even sure it helped but the gum did bleed more than usual once the tooth was taken out, took longer to clot. Paracetemol thins the blood..or something to that effect. It's not a big no no just not recommended..I was told anyway.
Although if it's just a filling you're not likely to be bleeding anyway.

Take the paracetamol if it makes you feel better- it will do no harm (as long as you have no contra-indications to paracetamol in your medical history- unlikely...!!!).
It has no effect on bleeding/clotting when used in this way.

    Good luck,
