Ok, so you really wanted a BMW and you blew everything on that shiny new 316, and have no money left now for servicing or accessories.

BMW feels your pain! Now you can get cheap BMW parts in the new ebay official shop and transform that 316 into a howling M3.

First manufacturer to set up on ebay. Fair play.

I just checked the price of a coolbag/fridge, it's more expensive there than in a dealer here! You'll probably get better service from ebay, though.

The filters and stuff look like they might be a fair bit cheaper....serious mark up on parts in the main dealers over here though.

BMW are ridiculous to begin with and I like my BMW by the way. But parts are priced ridiculously.

For example: E39 rear wheel bearing. Price in Boland's €257 plus tax. Price on the manufacturers website (FAG) in Germany, €48 incl. tax for a new one, €24 incl. tax for a refurbished.

Are you sure you are comparing like for like. Perhaps one is selling complete rear hub and the other is not. If you are correct, thats an unreal difference.

It'll probably be just be the bearing. E39 rear hub is €120 on its own for a lump of machined hardened steel.

EDIT: Front bearing with integral hub is €290ish from BMW.
