    Hi All,

Wondering if anybody can help with some advice. I am a member of a very small sports team who during a league semi final that we lost questioned the elegibility of a player from the other team who had a dramatic affect on the game outcome. The same player plays the game in another country and plays her occasionally when needed by her coach who is also related to her,
We put in an appeal as we are entitled to do and in the result there was not a rule that covered such an event happening so we lost. While the appeal was live we were recieving emails from the other club warning us of legal reprocussions if we did not withdraw our statement. They claim we have caused hurt to them and the player in question. When we found out we had lost the appeal we sent an apology. This was not good enough for them and today sent another one more comprehensive.
They are claiming this is still not good enough and want another one and for us to pay for the legal adive they sought while the appeal was in process even though it had no bearing or wasn't called for in the case.

Legally where do we stand? Why should we pay their legal expenses? And what exactly are they planning on suing us for?

    All help appreciated
