hotels albufeira

hey there.thinking of going to albufeira in portugal for a week in june with my sister. was just wondering if someone could maybe suggest some hotels/apt's to stay in that are nearer the old town,more so than "the strip". i have looked loads on tripadvisor but most places that i look at are nearer the strip or else good bit outside the town.im finding it hard to find somewhere that is nearer the old town,and within easy walking distance of the beach aswell.

our budget is about 400euro for the week. really hoping not to go over that if possible as the air fares are costing alot aswell.

any suggestions would be great.we are both in our mid 20's. my head is fried from reading review after review on tripadvisor!

we stayed at the Hotel Apartamento Brisa Sol, all rooms are apartments and there is a big supermarket next door to the hotel, nice place, probably about half way between the old town and strip, easy enough walk to both places

The Albufeira Jardim Apartments, the Neptuno apartments, and the Almar Apartments are within minutes of the centre of Albufeira.
