    is the 1.8 sri astra h timing belt or chain? and whats the changing interval if its a belt?

    I might be wrong but they changed that engine during that models lifetime. I presume it's the older one?

    The Z18XER engine is belt driven. Interval is listed as 160,000kms or 10 years.

    Exactly, but if you buy used car than it's indicated to change it.

    Presumably means if you buy a car thats over the interval then change the belt to be sure, unless you have documentation to show its been done.

    Well given Opels history of reducing timing belt intervals due to failures, I wouldn't go to 160k if it was mine.
