    I went into vec yesterday for grant application. she said they werent out yet?
    She told me I could fill it out online at

    http://www.studentfinance.ie

    there is no facility to apply there when you click on apply online all it says is
    Facility to apply online for 2011/12 student grants will be available in May 2011.

    even the download link is broken

    but early still id say. the 2010/11 year isn't even finished yet.

    you have loads of time to get it anyway (thats what she said), august iirc. ;)

    I dont get, u can apply for you grant from january?
    Shouldnt you be able get a booklet /application form anytime ? :confused:

    no. the applications for the college year 2011/2012 are not released yet. they dont take applications until they are ready for them.

    think they need assistance or me to make the form

    They are said to be reforming the grant system with new rules and regulation because of the budget.

    I emailed them and they said early June. They just updated it last few days
    Facility to apply online for 2011/12 student grants will be available in June 2011

    It wouldnt be Ireland if a government run organisation makes things easy for you lol

    I submitted it but its saying i have to do checklist and declaration an things like acceptance of college before I can fully apply , I'm wondering does that mean ill be broke in september seeing as results and offers dont come out till August

    Generally the way with any government run organisation as you say - it wouldn't be normal if they made it easy - it also wouldn't be normal if they actually gave you the money when you needed it the most..
