Hi there, I'm trying to buy a Canon EOS 300/350/400 camera. I can get it on ebay for around 300 euro.

Does anyone know of any second hand camera shops in the city centre that would have these kind of prices?

    Thanks,
    Jen

I've bought a bit of second hand kit from conns cameras www.connscameras.ie .Bit more expensive than EBay for the most part, but they give a 6 month warranty on bodies and a 1 year warranty on lenses IIRC, plus you can examine them and take them out for a bit of a testdrive before buying them.

    +1 for Conns.
I got my 30D from them last year, and found the service very good. The 6-month warranty on the body was the deal-clincher for me, even though they were a bit more expensive than online.

    Also don't forget adverts.ie.
Lots of kit there at competitive prices and you can play with the gear before you buy. I bought my camera that way and am very happy with the quality and price paid.

conns would have the best stock of s/h gear in dublin, probably followed by berminghams. would recommend conns over birminghams, i've had better customer service experience in conns. worth checking out the camera exchange too.

I second adverts.ie, you can pick up some great deals on gear and also the people selling usually have the history of the gear and know roughly how many actuations etc... cameras have taken so you can judge the lifetime better than a shop...although thats where the shop warranty comes in really.
