heading there on monday wth the family...keycamp all the way..wooo any reviews/ comments about the place?

Went to the Castell Montgri in L'Estartit for 2 consecutive years in 2006 and 2007 when the kids were a bit younger, the camp-site is quite large with good facilities (pools, tennis courts, etc.), it can get quite busy during peak times but should be quiet this time of year - weather can be a bit dodgy this early in the season, I hope it works out for you.

Will you be hiring a car? The campsite is on a steep hill surrounded by pine trees, it's a good walk into town but there is a shuttle which operates. Lidl's is handy for buying provisions. Strict curfew in the evenings and the security guards do not take kindly to rowdy guests. Plenty of decent restaurants and the usual touristy shops in L'Estartit itself. Large sandy beach located close to the town, can be a bit breezy.

We were there 2 years ago, and enjoyed it. I rented a bike from a bike shop in Torroella, and spent happy hours cycling around the local country roads. We also had a rented car, and did day trips up to Perpignan and Andorra.:)
