Grundfos vs Walrus Pump

    Hi guys,

I'm looking to get a pressurised system installed with a 3.5 bar pump in a 4bed semi. I know no pump is silent but just wondering if you could advise me on a decent pump. Grundfos MQ3 or 4 and Walrus were both mentioned to me. Which one is better, quieter more reliable? Please feel free to suggest other brands too.
The pump will be in the attic over the bathroom. Will possibly be mounted on the gable wall to reduce vibration and noise. A submersible pump in the water tank was also suggested. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks

Also any recommendations for a Bosch Worcester 30kw gas boiler?

dab silent booster is a good pump to boost mains pressure from a break tank

but if you feel a wee bit off the idea of hearing a pump every time you open a tap, then a mains accumalator is what you need. (dual stream) oso make them
they dont need power to work, and give all the same as a pump

Definitely not a QM3, they should only be used in sheds, great pump but they sound like a tractor engine.
The quietest pumps i've worked on have been the Lowara Hydrovar and Lowara Technospeed. Excellent pumps and extremely quiet. Not fond of frost though so make sure they're kept above freezing if placed in an attic or you'll be replacing them.

Walrus tq-400 is quieter than grundfos mq-35/45.

The tq-800 is a good bit noisier but performance is better.

I would always use Grundfos, but a friend of mine uses Walrus all the time and swears by them.
