What Games Would You Want, Do You Expect or Will You Take

Something I've not seen much of a report on during this PSN hack scandal is the few simple lines issued the other day on the Playstation EU Blog - indicating the level of free games that will be offered to PS3 and PSP owners when the PSN comes back online.
We will be offering PSN users the opportunity to select two PS3 games from a list of five, as well as offering PSP users the opportunity to choose two games from a list of four. We will let you know exactly what games are available very soon.

So, what games do you expect to be available to download for your chosen console, and what games would you want?

Personally, as a PSP owner, I would like to see Crisis Core offered for download

Realistically, I expect a GTA series game, a Sports title, perhaps Exit, and if we're very lucky something like Killzone Liberation which most people already own (or have played). I would be deeply offended if it were 4 Mini titles although I would welcome some classic PSX titles.

I've a feeling LittleBigPlanet will be one of the PS3 ones anyway.

I imagine they will be five games which are rated for all ages. Or at least most of them will be.

I'd love to get Outland in the choice as the reviews are amazing for it but I imagine it will things like Bionic Commando Rearmed, Tomb Raider, Joe Danger.

I am happy that we're getting something, I just hope there are good options :)

I reckon the games they will offer will be:

Little Big Planet (I already own)
    Wipeout HD (I already own)
Superstar Dust HD (I already own)
Tekken or Time Crisis or Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (I own GT5 already)
Maybe some Move game - Sports champion, Eyepet, etc.

As for the PSP games it could be Gran Turismo, LBP, Tekken or Wipeout again.

It will probably be games that have sold well through the PS Store, so a lot of people will already have the games, therefore Sony arent losing anything.

Would love to see Worms 2, God of War HD or some classic PS1 games!

BG and E HD - Sony should take the hit on this and pay Ubisoft the money they would've earned from it.
    Won't happen obviously, Sony aren't that stupid....unfortunatley.

I will only accept the following (under protest):

    MGS 5
    Killzone 4
    Resistance 4
GT 6 (I'm prepared to wait)
    BFBC3

Otherwise they'll be getting a strongly worded letter.......

I just know that I will already own the games they will offer. This is the sort of luck I have with things like this.

I reckon if you look at the games that you could download on PSN that are Sony published and you won't be too far wrong. They won't pay another developer for games they already have.

Im thinking LBP or MAG that kind of level of game.

for the ps3, I'd say 2 of the 5 games will be Move compatible (sports champions or something like that) then maybe LBP/Wipeout/Modnation Racers (I wish)
As for the psp, again sony orientated so prob LBP/Loco Roco/Wipeout

I am also thinking these two that i already own, there wont be any brand new games anyways i'd say.

Am I right in saying Sports Champions and Modnation Racers are not games that are downloadable via PSN?... And also heard someone on about Socom 4.. But AFAIK these games are not up on PSN so are highly unlikely to be the games we will get.. I would definately think we would get MAG or LBP anyways.. I would love MAG as it would be good for boards nights for us all to join in..

Like i said above, I already have LBP 1 & 2, Wipeout and if they were to give GT 5 Prologue, i wouldnt take it coz i own GT 5. I also had Modnation Racers but traded it in a few months back.
Wouldn't mind if MAG was an option as i was considering getting it a while back. I also have the Move controllers along with The Shoot and The Fight, so any other Move titles would do me fine.

Does that mean we have to download the ps3 games we pick or what?

Yes, I believe Sony will offer 5 PS3 games for free download (basically just removing prices from them in a smaller version of the PSN store once we're back up and running) and you'll have a choice of 3 games per user to download

I can't imagine Sony giving you a coupon to print out and allowing you to buy three games in a local retailer or sending you a code in the mail....the admin cost would be huge, downloading is just far easier and a lot cheaper

Also, the free games would be given to us by way of an apology for the PSN fiasco. It only effects people who use their console online.

Downloading wouldnt necessarily be easier. You're forgetting about the size of a ps3 game. You're also forgetting about download caps on internet users

They wouldn't put it on the Store if people couldn't download them. Sony aren't that stupid...

    ....well...

    Not Sonys' problem.
    Also, change ISP.

I'm personally not forgetting in the slightest, just another example of where Sony has failed to think about every customers needs, as another poster pointed out, it is being done to compensate those prevented from using and playing online...but it's also another marketing ploy as no doubt the games will be connected with a further purchase in the future

I think Sony's attitudes to people, like yourself, who have download caps and are mindful of the size of these games is tough.....I'm sorry to say:(
