I never knew Ronnie had such a good voice, kinda like Brandons

I knew he could sing. I did not know he was that good. None the less, to add to this ever buzzing thread, single no. 2.

Good singer no doubt but I was expecting his voice to be a bit different than Brandon Flowers. They sound very similar in my opinion.

I did expect something a bit more different alright. Musically and vocally. You can clearly see what songs he had a large influence on in the Killers. That being said, it is only two of the songs on his album, im still intrigued to hear the rest and to see him live at Hard Rock Calling on Friday :pac:

I finally bought the album yesterday and, like Flamingo, wasn't too sure after the first listen but after a good few spins, it's really grown on me! LOVE Ronnie and TK!! :D

I agree to a point. Wouldn't quite put it up there with Flamingo but it is easy to listen to. With Flamingo I had Magdalena and Jilted Lovers to encourage me to listen and relisten to the album. On this I don't have a stand out song....yet. Granted I quite like Replica and Katzenjammer.

I hope he does a quick tour and makes a stop in Dublin. I feel its mere hope tho.

True that!...i absolutely loved Flamingo and saw Brandon perform it 4 times!!...sad to see his touring of it come to an end!...Magdalena and Jilted Lovers were my two faves too but Playing With Fire was by far the best live!...and I was lucky enough to be at his show in Brixton in London where Stuart Price came onstage and played Human, Only the Young and the Mr Brightside remix with him!!...amazing altogether!!...always hated that remix until that day and now I can't get enough of it!!!

It definitely doesn't hold a candle to Flamingo but it's fun and rocky and there are a few catchy ones on it!...not spectacular by any means but very likeable!...ah, he said they're gonna do a UK tour anyway so I'm sure he'll make a stopover in Dublin!!...definitely gonna have ta go ta that anyway!! :)

Announced his UK tour today. Its quite extensive, 3 dates.

    September

    Glasgow 24
    Manchester 26
    London 28

Based on this he will play Arthurs Day on the 22. Annoying if he does because I would like to see him and well Arthurs Day is sold out now.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket just 2 days before to see Ronnie and co at The Academy.I knew he was gonna be at Whelans as he had posted in a few days before, but i knew i hadnt a hope in hell in getting a ticket,
I arrived in Dublin earlish that Day and was able to get their stage times from a security guy outside the academy,Whealans they were the opening act @6 and 9.15 at the academyi thought id give it a shot and head up to see if there were any spares and not 1 to be got,The next thing i seen the band heading in and thought that i had to get in somehow so i went to the doorman as asked was there anyway i could get in as i only wanted to see 1 band lol. After a bit of humming and hawing he said to give him €7 and i was in,yayyy, got straight up to the stage with ease and there was plenty of room.Big Talk sang 10 songs and gave a really great performance. After the gig i bumped into Ronnie coming out the side door so he was kind enough to sign the set list and let someone take of photo of us,he asked what i thought of the gig and i said it was amazing,so he said he was heading down to the academy and i said i was heading down there to,so got a thank you for the support etc. feeling pretty chuffed with myself i got a taxi down to the academy and went straight up to the barrier yet again with plenty of ease. There were a few problems with power etc and i knew from the set list it was cut short a few songs but it didnt seem to bother the crowd too much.I left just after the stage was being cleared for the next act and on the way out who did i bump into yet again haha only himself,i was a bit embarrassed as he shouted over and gave the thumbs up and said thanks for the present i had given him,i really didnt think hed remember.I was outside having a smoke and he come over and started chatting away for a good 10 mins and someone come over and asked me if i wanted to have my photo taken with him,i said id already got one and Ronnie said "why not,Hell yeah" i was totally gobsmaked and got 1 a rather big hug and kiss of him and now i have the best photo ever.I have to say i enjoyed the performance, meeting Ronnie and seeing what a down to earth, pleasant and easing going guy he really is with no aires and graces about himself.I had enjoyed myself so much that i have decided to head over to the uk for the next 2 gigs, but i dont think that Dublin will be beaten.Sorry if i have bored anyone

Don't really see the point in opening a new thread so here Mark Stoermers stuff. Sounds poor at a first listen.
