sorry if this has been covered before but here we go, 18 months ago i imported a car from the uk paid my vrt approx 6k but i soon will be moving pernamently to northern ireland can i claim a precentage of my vrt back.

Nope, there is no vrt refund however should you go to northern ireland and get it registered there, you can still take the car back in here vrt free in the future.

Sell the car,
Buy a similar one in the north again.

Only way of getting 'some' of your money back!
