Anyone here remember this classic tv series from the 60s about about an innocent man on the run from the law, after being wrongly convicted of murdering his wife? I watched it when it was re-run in the 90s.

..It used to be a "QM production" who were responsible for a host of TV detective shows from the 60's and 70's such as Cannon, Mannix etc....

It featured a "one armed man", the real murderer and a detective called Gerrard who was alway just one step behind the hapless Richard Kimble......

In more recent times it was remade as a film with Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones.

When we first got TV in the 1960s, The Fugitive was one of my favourites. In those days, the entire nation would be watching the same program as we had only one channel.
    The Fugitive

Starring David Janssen as Dr. Richard Kimble
    Barry Morse as Lt. Gerrard

' An innocent victim of blind justice,
reprieved by fate when a train wreck freed him on route to the deathhouse,
freed him to run before the relentless pursuit of the police lieutenant obbessed with his capture,
freed him to change his identity,
    to toil at many jobs,
Freed him to search for the one armed man seen running from the scene of his murdered wife's body.

Exciting Stuff! One man against the world!

    Loved this show!

It was black and white for the first number of years and then colour for the rest.
RTÉ showed it pretty late, around 11pm I think. All back in the early 90's

When they got to the final episode it was big event and lots of radio shows were hyping it up.
    And then it was over

They should nearly bring it back and show it late at night.
Over four years of episodes to get through. :)

That remains one of my favourite films of all time.
