    hi there,
I plan to change my faulty immersion but the one I got has a rubber 0-ring seal.
Should I remove the old fibre washer now and just fit the new one with some ptfe tape ?
    thanks

O-ring will do the job. Just make sure it's not twisted and it's goin in clean and dry. Don't use any jointing compound.
