They've increased the numbers and the lucky stars but somehow they are claiming the odds are better. I don't get it.

Well technically the odds are not better, there quite allot worse. But I guess EuroMillions are putting some kind of spin on it as its on twice a week...

Are you going to link to a story about this or are we supposed to just magically have an opinion or explanation?

Better odds of winning a prize (of 4 euro), longer odds of winning the jackpot.

they are paying out more prizes, now you only need to get 2 numbers to get a prize, previously you needed 2+1 Lucky Star or 1+2 Lucky Stars.

But yeah the chances of winning the main jackpot have increased a fair bit i think to over 100Million:1

I can understand your confusion, what they meant is that it's better for them.

EuroMillions is changing for the better!

    - Play Tuesdays and Fridays... with better odds of winning!
    - Pick 5 numbers from 50 and 2 lucky star numbers from 1-11
    - Play up to 8 draws in advance!
    - Match 2 numbers win up to €4

Watch the draws on RTE two at approx 11:20pm every Tuesday and on RTE one at approx 11.40pm every Friday.

And the stupidity tax gets another tweak.

I suppose if the match 2 thing is new then you do have better odds of winning something.

OMG Tuesday is my lucky day, along with my lucky numbers and my lucky tenner I can't lose!

I was a bit curious to the "increase your chances of winning", I didnt notice untill I read this thread about the win with two numbers. I usually have at least two numbers every week but from now on I'll probably only have one lol.

Anyone know if they will be putting the numbers from Tuesday's draw up on Aertel? I know you can check them the lotto website but my dad is mad to get them up on Aertel. They dont seem to be there when we checked.

Time for a bump I think

    €125 million tonight

    Get in! Tickets bought
Yes, I'll be told it's a stupidity tax by those who love to judge, but it's a bit of fun for a few euro

You can buy a line for less then a bottle of coke in a pub

Whats to stop them having it a couple more times a week? Is there any regulations on how many times they can have it, after all it is gambling and I'm sure there is alot of people out there who could spend alot of money on each draw and probably use the same numbers every draw. So everytime they add a new draw these people will feel the need to do the lotto just in case their numbers come up and and they have'nt done it. I'm sure alot of people are addicted to it the same way people are addicted to betting on horses etc.

Anyway I'm off now to buy my weekly €100 euro ticket before 7:25:pac:
