What forum would be the best place to post if a person is looking for an architect and would like to see recommondations posted in the thread, and would like to share their experience as a helpful guide to others?

Construction and planning forum was tried, but to no avail.

Unfortunately it's proven necessary in many cases to avoid public recommendations of any kind (dentists, doctors etc). All too often these kind of threads are either started by shills looking to falsely promote themselves, get hijacked by shills, or attract complaints/condemnation which in turn exposes boards.ie to legal threats about defamation or the like. With our broken legal system it's an unpleasant necessity. You can still receive recommendations by PM and in turn discuss them by PM, but if the C&P charter forbids public recommendations, then that's how it is, as there's no other appropriate destination for such a discussion.

Thank you for a concise and non condescending reply.

    Makes perfect sense.
