Might work security at some concerts in the summer... anyone know the limit to what you can earn while on the dole? Like would Workin a gig every 2/3 weeks for 60/70 euro make a difference? Any thoughts appreciated

I think you have to declare your earnings and they deduct a day from your payments, I'm not 100% sure though.

Depends on what payment you're on. If you're on Jobseekers Benefit, then you simply get deducted a 1/6 of your weekly payment (1/5 if you are a casaul worker) for each day that you work. If you are on Jobseekers Allowance, the first 20 euro is disregarded, and then 60% of the balance is deducted off your claim.

In both schemes, you have to be unemployed for 3 days in the week so if you work more than 3 days a week you'll lose your payment completely. Work on Sunday is also treated differently. If you're on JB then any work you do on a Sunday will not be taken into account at all, if you are on JB it is only taken into account if it pushes your income above the level where you would lose your payment altogether.
