what.........are you saying Aitken is a good price???
i've played this course several times and yes will suit Aitken's game big time imo....but not a good price after just winning his first tour event......it's a bit of a messy course, not long at all
I'll stick in big outsider @125/1,Seve Benson,...........shcit just realized with a name like that the pressure to win in Spain this week will be too big......anyway might still get the e/w money
he had a very good week last week and after a terrible first round here last year he came back with a great 69 in tough conditions

Dustin Johnson's decision to select one of the most experienced caddies in the business could reap rewards this week - 50/1, thank you very much :D

    Zach Johnson 75/1 & K.J. Choi 60/1 are excellent back-up.

hmmm! jedward or woods? jedward or woods?
Il go with tiger woods! Still cant ignore/get used to those double figure odds beside his name.
Even though my head says he probably has no chance!

Tim Clark @ 125/1 looks too good a bet to turn down. Was he out injured or something? No way should last years winner be that price!

    Els (90/1) & Cink (75/1) both e/w with Bet365.

I also had a small stake on Kaymer to be Top European @ 11/1 with betfair.

Matteo Manassero @ 80/1 looks good, straight as an arrow which is probably the most important thing at The Players.

    Dustin Johnson @ 45/1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,288 ✭✭✭fkiely

Donald at 16's and Fuyrk at 40's (both e/w) are the only two for me.

I'd be surprised if Boyles & Powers don't refund Tiger Stakes.

Not many would back Tiger these days.
Is this the start of the end?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

Tiger Woods pulled out of The Players Championship after only 9 holes of his 1st round, we’re refunding all bets placed on Tiger at TPC. We’re refunding all bets on Woods – in the outright betting and in all the other range of markets we had on TPC
    .

    Off the site.

He came into the event injured. Reports say he could barely walk after the 1st hole.

Doubt we'll see him again until June 16th (U.S. Open)

allenby did ok i laid him to make a small profit,i also laid Jacobson and quiros as i think niether of them can win

I have a question, I had backed Mickelson v Woods at 5/6 in a Match Bet. What is the situation with this now? Cause if they don't play up I am going to lose the rag!

I would say if mickelson makes the cut you win?
    Might be bookmakers specific though.

There's a good chance the bet could be voided and your money refunded to you. IMO though, you should win the bet.

Last night before goin to bed I checked the leaderboard for the Iberdola Open to find out one of my picks, Bourdy had a one shot lead at 7 under. Great I thought hes in with a chance, he then completely falls apart today 7 over for the round last time I checked  FFS!

i did a 3e doulbe on thursday at 3.35pm , chris woods@12/1 and tiger @80/1 with boyles, didn't realise that tiger was about to pull out or had pulled out at the time, i knew he must have been of to a bad start but said to myself he can turn things around in a flash (sometimes) and took a punt on him. I wonder what time did he pull out and if the single part of the bet would stand if he had pulled out before the bet was laid?

    I did 2 x 5ew on the Players.
    Mahan at 40/1
    holmes at 60/1

Both with Boyles, paying 6 places. They both came joint 6th.
Bet placed on Thurs 12th at 12:30:08

Went to collect and they told me event was off at that time and had reverted to 5 places ?

Does anyone know how I find out what time first player teed off ? They were definetly still showing 6 places on the screens when I wrote thet bet out.....:(

You don't need me to tell you but in future write the e/w places on your slip. It's a bit like folks who place a bet, take the slip and stick in their wallet/pocket. They head home, bet wins and they look at the slip to see their €20 win (which is clearly wrote down) has actually been processed as €2 by the cashier. Always check your bet when you receive it back off the cashier (most importantly the amount they've put it thru as) and always state clearly what bet type you are doing. In your case 1/4 1st 6 places.

When an event tees off, bookmakers revert to their standard setting (in their case 5 places). Also, almost all of the field will be cut a couple of points.

As much as I hope you get paid, I can't see them paying you out :(
