Passat cut out...Reason?

    Hi, back again with my bitch of a 04 Passat tdi.

    She started up fine, left driveway but then cut out on me after 2 minutes. Tried starting her a couple of times but no joy...Ten minutes pass and just when I was about to give the insurance comp. a call I tried her again and she starts:confused:. I drove back to house no problem nothing sounded amiss.

    150K/Km on the clock, Battery is about 2 months old, I also replaced the alternator within the last year. Any advice or suggestions as to what this could be?

    I also need to undertake a motorway journey this evening.... F**K!

    Thats a fuel problem if the engine was turning. Could be a injector.

    Has she been serviced latley??. Check the fuel filter..

    Serviced mid Jan....Do you think a fuel filter replacement would do trick? Have other issues concerning turbo if thats a factor?

    Just had her out there on a test drive for ten mins up through all the gears no problems to report.....:confused:

    fcuk all experience with mechanics but fuel pump going would sound more likely to me...
