Who won the Featherweight/Bantamweight fight between the Cuban and the Mexican on the Pacquiao undercard? Fell asleep watching it.:(

The mexican won, it was a more entertaining fight than the pacquoia v mosley fight.

The mexican Jorge acre won in the 12th round when the cubans wilfreda vasquez jr corner threw in the towel with two mins left to go.

Very good fight, good mix of styles. I had it a draw if it went the 12...

Arce is probably my 2nd favourite Mexican ever after Erik Morales, but I never thought he had a chance of pulling this upset off. His best days were spent down at Light-Flyweight and he's struggled somewhat ever since he went to Super-Flyweight and above as he couldn't impose his size on technically superior fighters anymore and he found himself often being outboxed and taking a bit of a beating.

Vasquez partially chose to fight with Arce, and partially was forced to fight with him, but really he should have avoided getting involved at all costs. Technically it should have been an easy fight for him, but this was the toughest fight he's had so far and with his lack of an amateur background, he just wasn't that well prepared for what to do when in there with a guy like Arce.

His father was probably being a little overprotective in stopping the fight, but it became immaterial anyway as Arce had a 10-8 round pretty much sewn up and with that the fight would have been his on all 3 cards. A rematch is probably a certainty at some point (well if Arce can hold on to the belt anyway), but Vasquez has some improvements to make before he's ready for that.
