    I am looking for a holiday in August for myself and boyfriend (from Dublin). Somewhere a little bit lively but not full of drunken idiots but cheap enough at the same time. I was looking at Malta but seems to be very very hot in August....anyone got any other suggestions??!! Would be really appreciated!!!

    I would recommend Corralejo, Fuerteventua, Canary Islands - fabulous beaches, cool Atlantic breezes, lively but and no louts.

    Yeah canary islands - gran canaria is quieter. Im just back from portugal - albufeira and its lovely. The old town is the nicest part - lovely and quiet, plenty of restaurants and bars too. My sister went to Greece last year and loved it.
