Would not surprise me to see Real drop points tonight. They have nothing at all to play for in reality. Pizjuan is a tough venue, and if the right Sevilla show up, they will cause problems.

This fixture last season was probably one of the best matches I have ever seen. I had everything including an amazing save from Casillas. Fingers crossed for the same result as it would be uber sweet to wrap up the title at home to the Perichos.

Germán Lux must feel like crap after Mallorca had their match moved just so Dudu Aouate could play in it.

Aye, last seasons matches between the two were top class but Sevilla are absolute rubbish this season. I was shiting bricks when Madrid snatched victory at the Bernabeu truth be told :pac:. Madrid havent won any of there last 3 going into this one though.

Real one up after 20 minutes. Strange atmoshpere around the goal, no one really knew who scored it at first. I thought the ref had given a free out! It was Ramos that scored it though...

2 0 now, easy goal for Ronaldo.

You feel that Real will convert a lot of the corners they will get tonight...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,973 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    3 0 now...

Kaka with a lovely placed shot although he had loads of time to take it.

Can anyone think of a more gutless team than Sevilla? Navas needs to get the hell out of there, those overpaid mercenaries will just end up dragging him down with them.

Remaining La Liga fixtures for Real Madrid:

    Getafe- Home
    Villarreal- Away
    Almeria- Home

C.Ronaldo needs 5 goals to equal Hugo Sanchez's and Zarra's 38 goals season, and 6 to beat them. I think he will score a hat-trick again either Getafe or Almeria and at least score against Villarreal.

    GET THEM IN C.RONALDO.

    Phenomenal.

Is he ahead of Messi now in the race for top scorer in La Liga? Would be some achievement to finish ahead of him if he could manage it. Could happen too as surely they'll not play Messi in every game with the league all but over and the fear of injury before the CL Final.

Its been along time since Messi scored against Espanyol

Will we see some of the barca players rested do ye think?

He is 2 ahead of Messi in the league. 4 games left for Messi and 3 for C.Ronaldo. IMO if C.Ronaldo stays on form he will score a hat-trick against either Getafe or Almeria, who Real have at home. If not a hat-trick plus a brace against either 2.

I think Barca won't rest players, if they win this weekend it is almost certainly over, but if they lose it is still not impossible for Real to come back. But if Messi irritated an injury he might come on as a sub only.

Great season for Athletic, do 5th, 6th and 7th get Europa League?

I don't think thwy will ever be able to handle CL football but i reckon they could give the Europa League a good go next season.

Messi never gets rested really, so I'd imagine he'll play the majority of their 4 games. It'll be an interesting finish even though the league is as good as over. 52-46 in favour of Messi in all comps and 24-13 for assists, freaks the pair of them!

Villarreal just drew 0 - 0 with Laudrups boys - looks like they have surrendered 3rd to Los Che. Awful time to be playing - scorching heat.

7th gets a Europa League place because Real won the Copa del Rey and beat Barca in the final.

    Barca line up

Valdés, Alves, Piqué, Mascherano, Fontàs, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Pedro, Villa and Messi

    Goal...........

    Iniesta

    Whoop

Villa would do well to remember he is a professional footballer and one of the best strikers in the world. How he missed that chance I cannot tell....

His one on ones have been absolute **** all season - if it wasnt for the fact he scored two in the Clásico I would give him a grilling. Anyways Iniesta goal was class.

It would but a true professional should be aiming towards collective trophies not individual one's. I know Ronaldo can't help being good but it's just Messi has been apart of SOOO MUCH of the great success of Barcelona, that I don't think he'd be bothered too much about Ronaldo beating him to the pichichi!

Was just thinking about that season when Ronnie and Eto'o were both in contention for the pichichi but I think it was actually Forlan who got it on the last day of the season. Seems so long ago now.
