Have a shed 45'x75'. And in the future i am thinking of using it for housing my dairy dry cows (would be also allow me to carry more cows with out more cubicles). I have no slats the cubicle shed is on auto scrapers so not suitable for having dry cows in case they calve as the calf could disappear into the lagoon.
So was thinking this size shed could hold 40-45 cows?? and if so how many round bales do you all think i would use. And is it best to bed everyday or every other day and how often would it need mucking out. Winter of approx 120 days. i reckon 300 bales of 4x4.
Or any other bedding material worth looking at.
