ITunes menu keeps disappearing on laptop

    Hi
    Wondering if anyone can help me.
    When I log into my Itunes store, click on audio books ( or films etc) the main adverts for books etc available flashes up and then disappears. no idea why this is happening. I really need it to work asap as I'm off climbing a mountain for 8 days and I'll crack up without it!!

    When I try and download through my Iphone, it says I must connect to Wifi / laptop to download

    So just in case I'm doing it wrong, the following is what I'm doing

    1. Main menu along left of screen
    2. Click on store & Itunes Store
    3. Connects to Itune store, page appears blank with drop down menus at the top
    4. Click dropdown menu box
    5. Page of books / adverts available flashes up, then disappears.

    Can anyone shed any light on it???
