Reports are of one animal with minimal chance of it becoming a problem.

You dont need any permits or licenses in the South of Ireland for owing any dangerous animal or poisonous snakes or lizards.

UK and Ireland have what is called DWA which is a very strict but secure way of owning such animals

Obviously not strict enough....Going by the intresting critters loose in the countryside these days..Feck sake !! Whats next??Tasmanian devils and a few Water Moccassian snakes for good measure???

As a non-native invasive species it will have the same legal status as mink ie. vermin that can be legally trapped and/or shot.
