Do you have a positive or negative outlook on life? By that I mean are you supportive, encouraging and tolerant of other peoples likes, dislikes or beliefs?

Or would you think you are more negative, seeing the fault in things, people? Do you highlight the things that annoy you, regardless of whether others may enjoy them?

I'm pretty positive, not necessarily always happy though!

For me, negativity is one of the most unattractive traits in someone. I can't stand people just constantly moan about stuff and never seem to try and turn things around for themselves. It drives me mad!

Generally positive person (think everyone has down days once in awhile though). Used to be incredibly negative, but that's when I was seriously insecure and had a lot of issues.. gave up on all that a few years ago though.

I don't see the point in being negative, there's always something to gain or learn, from any situation or any person. And it's stupid to try and bring down everyone else around you just because you feel crap about yourself, I can't stand people like that anymore - it's so unnecessary.

I'm a realistic person. You need both the ability to see the good and the bad.

If there is a problem, you have to see it and identify it before you can solve it. Then you need the positivity to form a course of action.

I find the opposite is also pretty bad. There's something creepy about people who find the good in everything or never have a reason to complain.

I would be negative and as a result this makes me positive. I expect things to go wrong so I don't get upset when they do. If they work out I'm pleasantly surprised.

Being negative is good though; if you're positive all the time, you're just setting yourself up to be disappointed. At least if you expect the worse, it'll be less of a crushing blow when everything you do in life turns to shít and you're left to contemplate your meaningless life as a dried out husk.......

......so yes, somewhat negative would be a fair assessment. Not to mention cynical. And self-loathing. It's a super combination; I go down a treat at dinner parties, I tell you.....

There's a difference between 'positive' and 'blindly optimistic' - you can be positive while remaining realistic.

Neither in excess (positive or negative) are good things, really.

theres no such thing as a happy person really, its just on any given day you feel happy, you might feel **** next week/ month, basically I Hate BOXES and neat little words to generalise and sum something up

Outlook in work is usually bad news or gives me stuff to do when I could be on boards.ie

At home I am more positive as my personal accoubt brings me fun but then again sometimes people use the rolleyes and that drives me mad - but it's all good because i recently found a cure for getting infuriated at rolleyes!

I'm positive/optimistic most of the time in my out outlook.

I'm quite positive about people generally, but I hold grudges and focus on peoples bad/annoying points once they piss me off.

On the whole, happy and positive. I do have my not-so-happy moments, and who doesn't? Perhaps my happiness comes from not worrying about things I've no control over, like the sorry state of the economy, the effects of climate change or who's doing what to whom on "Eastenders". Life is too short for any of that.

Newsflash. Life isnt always perfect. Things don't always work out. Just because stuff is shiney and happy when you read about them, doesnt mean the real world is the same.
