Read the book last year and adored it. I know it is released today but I don't think it is being shown near me... if anyone does see it, can you let me know what you think.

    Cheers

    :)

    Hi Sunflower

I hope to go see it over next couple of days so as soon as i do I will post my opinion.

I love the book too is one of my all time favourites and was a bit apprehensive when I heard it was being turned into a film. Reviews are mixed apparently but I never take critics reviews too seriously.

Saw this yesterday, have to say it didnt disappoint at all.
Never read the book, but its fantasy style love story plot (moulin rouge style i thought) really makes you watch every moment :)
The very ending i thought just a tad samey as most of the love stories out recently, but before that, brilliant. :D

I'm finding the trailers a little creepy, saw a few minutes of Vanity Fair a few weeks back and Pattinson played Witherspoon's son in it. Put the trailer for Water for Elephants into a whole new persective.

I thought Robert Pattinson's scene was cut from Vanity Fair?

I went to this last night with the gf , she loved it as it would be her type of film , i thought there was some excellent moments in it, you can tell from the film theres a tonne of stuff cut from the book , but overall i was surprised the only thing i can fault really is i didnt feel for the witherspoon and pattinson realationship no chemistry really .

    Thanks everyone. :)

I read that the 2 main characters didn't really click so I'd say the comment about their lack of chemistry is more than justified. Thanks guys.... will make the effort to go see it :)

I saw this last night with my friends. We all enjoyed it, though I was the only one who had read the book so I was a little bit pickier. It was a little bit slow moving and they left out some bits they should have left in and included some that they shouldn't. I thought that Robert and Reese were good in it but they weren't that believable as a couple and I definitely noticed the lack of chemistry thing that someone else commented on. I was really excited going to see it although I could've waited for it on dvd as although it was good I've seen some better films in the cinema lately that I had less high hopes for :)
